Why

& How PanPals Works?

Backed by

Science

(and a Sprinkle of Fun)
PanPals isn’t just an idea we whipped up overnight –
it’s been
marinated in science.
Created as part of a distinction-winning MSc dissertation in
Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics (fancy), our app was designed to make cooking at home less of a chore and more of a celebration.

Why It Works?

PanPals taps into three key psychological needs

to our ONE BIG TABLE with our Pals
The Results Are In, And They’re Delicious
Better Habits: Motivation, enjoyment, diet quality, and cooking skills all saw a noticeable improvement.
Less Dread: Cooking felt less like a chore and more like a satisfying, creative activity.
Community Vibes:
Users found inspiration from others’ posts and felt like part of a supportive table of home cooks.
19% More Cooking:
A significant boost in real-life cooking frequency. That’s more meals made, less takeout guilt.
We tested PanPals with 38 real people over three weeks and dove deep into how we build habits, shift cooking and eating attitudes, and all that jazz. Here’s what we found:
